Timmie Bowie is an absolutely outstanding young lady!  She will be a junior at Highland High School, and was elected the Junior Class President.  She is a phenomenal athlete, a superb student, very active in Student Government, a friend to all, but most of all- she has a HEART of GOLD!   At her young age, she has led the Highland High School to record earnings in the Hatcher Wheatley “Make a Wish”  and  the Sophomore Class “Relay for Life” Fund Raisers!  But now the situation has changed – it is Timmie that needs our help! 

    She has been diagnosed with a life-threatening disease, Aplastic Anemia, where her bone marrow does not produce sufficient new cells to replenish the current blood cells (white and red blood cells and platelets).  Timmie has also battled a severe infection and Compartment Syndrome in her left leg and thigh, undergone numerous surgeries, a blood clot in her right arm, all along with the Aplastic Anemia.  With the help of wonderful doctors at the Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah she is fighting this battle one day at a time.  The “Friends of Timmie Bowie” are trying to help subsidize the astronomical medical bills that are being accrued.  Timmie has spent most of the summer at Primary Children’s Hospital.  She is currently undergoing Immunosuppressant Therapy that will hopefully cure the Aplastic Anemia, but if not; a Bone Marrow Transplant will be the next step.  

   The “Friends of Timmie Bowie” would love it if you could help us with our August 22^nd, 2012 Fund Raiser!  We will be hosting a City Wide Variety Show, to be held at the Pocatello High School from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.  We will also be assembling some wonderful Themed Packages to be raffled off during the Variety Show.   With your help, we hope to entice many buyers of Raffle Tickets & Show Tickets!!   And hopefully we can ease the financial burden that the Bowie Family is facing.
